Henderson Independent School District (HISD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracy Browning as the district’s new Director of Special Education. Browning, who brings extensive experience in educational leadership, most recently served as a principal at Alba-Golden ISD.

Tracy Browning's career in education spans over two decades, during which she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs. Tracy Browning holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Midwestern State University and has completed extensive training in special education and inclusive practices. As principal at Alba-Golden, she was instrumental in implementing programs that significantly improved student outcomes and fostered an inclusive educational environment. Her hands-on approach and innovative strategies have earned her a reputation as a dedicated advocate for all students.

"Her expertise in special education and her passion for creating supportive learning environments makes her the ideal leader to drive our district’s vision forward and take care of our boys and girls. We are confident that under her leadership, HISD will continue to enhance the quality of our special education services."

In her new role, Browning will oversee all aspects of the district's special education programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and working closely with families and educators to provide individualized support for students with special needs. Her focus will be on developing comprehensive programs that meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of every student.
