HENDERSON, Texas — Henderson ISD has named Leslie Bowles as the new principal of Northside Intermediate, pending approval by the Board of Trustees at its March meeting.
Bowles currently serves as principal of the district's Wylie Primary Campus and previously worked as an assistant principal at Northside Intermediate. She has 19 years of experience in education.
Over the past couple of weeks, Superintendent Brian Bowman has led a team of administrators in visiting with Northside staff to create a principal profile for use in the candidate search. The staff emphasized the desire for a dynamic, experienced, and student-focused principal who fosters a culture of consistency, discipline, and academic excellence.
“Leslie brings all the leadership qualities identified by the Northside staff,” said Bowman. “She has a clear commitment to strong and consistent leadership, collaborative decision-making, and student development. I’m certain that her dedication to loving kids will be invaluable as we continue our tradition of excellence at Northside Intermediate,” Bowman said.
“It has been an amazing three years at Wylie Primary, but I am truly honored to step into the role of principal at Northside,” Bowles said. “I look forward to working alongside our talented teachers, staff, and families to continue fostering the tradition of excellence at Henderson ISD.”
The Board of Trustees is expected to formally approve the move at its March 18th meeting.
